Personal:

I am a former runner who took the sport back up about 3 1/2 years ago. In the preceeding 20+ years I was a 2 pack a day smoker and the only excercise I recieved was summer softball. Needless to say; it was time for a change.

Easy recovery run today.  Still feeling good but thinking twice about hitting the track tommorrow.  I just found out I didn't get into the Falmouth Road Race this year which has historicaly been my summer target race. I'm a little bummed about it but I guess that means I have an opportunity to do something different.  Maybe I'll find myself a trail race somewhere's close by and give that a try.

Thanks Allie. It's kind of sad as this race has been an annual event for me and was kind of a break out race for me last year. Plus with living on an island, it was very convenient. A trail race will mean taking the car off and traveling, an expensive proposition in the middle of summer. Of course it will be a lot cheaper than running the Goofy Challenge in Disney.
