| 100 floors on the stairmaster tonight before power yoga. Followed up with 1.5 miles on the treadmill to cool down. It's a beginning to cross-training. Hopefully the stairclimber will build up the quads a bit and make the pounding easier to handle in the longer races. | Add Comment |

| Long run with Dave this morning. I felt pretty good right up to the point I quit running. My hip flexors realy started to bug me by the end of the run. Did some good post run stretching for a change and it made a difference by the p.m. I averaged 8:40's for the run but my final 4 were at 7:45 pace to finish up strong. | Left the house on an out and back. I decided an hour run would be an improvement over last Tuesdays run as I slowly want to build my miles back up. Turned out to be 7 miles in 57 minutes as my return speed was a bit faster than my out leg. Out in 8:20's back in 7:40's. I'm finding it a little easier to motivate myself out the door in the dark to get these runs in. I LOVE RUNNING IN THE DARK! If I keep saying it, it will eventualy be true. The legs feel pretty fresh this morning following the run . X-training with power yoga and stairmaster tonight at the gym. | Add Comment |

| 110 flights on the stairclimber in 15 minutes at level 12. Followed up with 2 miles on the treadmill and power yoga class. Yoga class is getting a little easier but still have a long way to go. | Add Comment |

Legs were a little heavy from yesterday, plus I took a tumble on some ice at work this morning. Tweaked my shoulder and jambed my hands pretty good. | I hammered the stairmaster for 20 minutes followed by 10 minutes cool down on the treadmill. Followed up with power yoga class. Todays class really focused on the hip area and I walked out feeling great. | Add Comment |

Headed out for 12 to 15 when I ran into another runner I knew. Decidede to run with him for a while and before I knew it the miles were flying by. Felt really good until the last 2 or so when the knees started to feel a bit fragile. Glad I pushed it a bit.
Nasty storm moving into the area so I have no idea how the roads will look over the next week. May have to move indoors. Stress test scheduled for tommorrow off island. Hopefully the weather won't cause it to be cancelled. | Comments(1) |
