Personal:

I am a former runner who took the sport back up about 3 1/2 years ago. In the preceeding 20+ years I was a 2 pack a day smoker and the only excercise I recieved was summer softball. Needless to say; it was time for a change.

I went out and did 7 with Pat and Dave before Pat peeled off.  Dave and I then ran an additional 3.5 before I finished up with 3.5 on my own.  We started off pretty easily with 8:45's running through the woods with tough footing but sped up after a couple and continued to go faster as the run progressed.  My last 3.5 by myself were around 8 flat and I felt great.  With perfect weather I really didn't want to stop.  I am definetly back and recovered from Boston.  Now I just need to find a race to help keep me focused and motivated.
